This recipe can be used to make delicious crumbly cookies. Instead of vanilla sugar, the dough can be flavored with vanilla or essence.
You will need:
For vanilla dough:
- 1, 5 glasses of wheat flour;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
- 150 g butter;
- 0.5 cups granulated sugar;
- 1 egg.
For chocolate dough:
- 1, 5 glasses of wheat flour;
- 1 egg;
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder;
- 150 g butter;
- 0.5 cups of sugar;
- 1 egg for gluing.
If you like crumbly cookies, use yolks instead of whole eggs.
Prepare vanilla and chocolate dough in two containers. Mash the softened butter with sugar and an egg. Add vanilla sugar to one container and cocoa powder to the other. Then add the sifted flour in portions and knead the dough. Don't wrinkle it for too long - after a few minutes, the oil will start to melt and the mixture will become too soft. Gather the chocolate and vanilla dough into balls, wrap with cling film and place in the cold for half an hour.
The cookie dough can be prepared in advance and placed in the freezer.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it into two layers. Spread the vanilla layer on a board, brush it with a beaten egg and cover with a chocolate layer. Spread it with an egg too, and then roll both types of dough into a roll. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
Cut the frozen roll into slices with a sharp knife and place them on a clean, dry baking sheet. Place the cookies in an oven preheated to 240C. Bake the products for 15-20 minutes. Remove the finished cookies from the baking sheet and chill on the board.
"Snails" can be served with tea or presented to friends, packed in a beautiful box.
