A tea drink prepared with soul from collected herbs, berries or fruits will give the body the necessary vitamins, energy, warm in cold weather and cheer up. You just need to brew it correctly.
Making your own homemade tea drinks from medicinal, aromatic herbs and berries, in general terms, is similar to brewing the usual green or black tea. Namely, to get a healthy drink, you should take porcelain, glass or ceramic dishes. As a last resort, enamel is also suitable. It is important that such utensils do not have any damage or chips of enamel, since metals impair the taste of the drink.
A significant difference is that herbal teas infuse longer than regular tea. Sometimes the herbs are brought to a boil and infused for 10-20 minutes. Even a short boil for 5-10 minutes is allowed. You can boil such herbs as ivan tea, St. John's wort, meadowsweet, berry leaves, raspberries, blackberries. Aromatic herbs should not be boiled. This applies to such well-known and beloved herbs as mint, oregano, lemon balm, rosebuds and others. When boiled, they lose their flavor. These herbs are added at the very end.
As for dried berries, it is customary to pour boiling water over them and insist. When boiled, vitamins are destroyed in berries. The best way to make tea from rose hips, currants, blackberries, barberries, mountain ash, quince and others is to brew them in a thermos.
Fruits and berries are poured with boiling water and infused for half an hour. Then add aromatic herbs, leaves or flowers and 5-10 minutes later you can start drinking tea.
It is better to use herbs, fruits, berries and roots in a crushed state.
