If you are a lover or a lover of oriental cuisine, then you should definitely try the traditional oriental chicken salad. This dish will not take much of your cooking time. After all, all the ingredients can be easily found in any store in your city. The salad ideally combines tender chicken fillet with oriental spices in the form of sesame and almonds.
It is necessary
- For salad (2-3 servings):
- -1 cabbage head
- -3 green onions
- -1 red pepper
- -1 cucumber
- -2-3 tablespoons sesame seeds
- -2 cups almonds
- -1 pack of crispy rice noodles
- -4 small pieces of tender chicken fillet
- For refueling:
- -¾ glasses of sugar
- -¾ a glass of rice vinegar or apple cider
- -1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
- -1 teaspoon salt
- -3 tablespoons soy sauce
- -1 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
- -1 teaspoon sesame oil
- -1 cup peanut butter
- -1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse all vegetables thoroughly. Remove old leaves and roots. Finely chop the cabbage leaves, peppers and cucumbers on a cutting board. You can use cabbage stump if you wish. It will add a special spicy flavor to the salad. It is recommended to grate it.
Step 2
Fry the almonds over medium heat until light golden brown. Boil the chicken fillet until tender. Then drain the water and cool completely. Cut the chicken into strips or distribute into fibers. Boil the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package and let cool.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the vegetables from step 1 and the ingredients from step 2. Mix thoroughly. Season with salt to taste.
Step 4
Proceed with making the dressing sauce. Chop the ginger. Whisk all of the sauce ingredients (including the nuts) in a blender. You should have a liquid mass.
Step 5
Season your salad with the resulting sauce from step 4. Serve chilled for dinner.
