Meat rolls with cheese do not require any special cooking skills to make. At the same time, you get a very satisfying and high-calorie snack that can be served both cold and hot.
It is necessary
-
- 1 kg pork (loin without bone
- neck)
- 150 g of hard cheese
- 1 clove of garlic
- fresh herbs,
- salt
- ground black pepper
- sour cream,
- vegetable oil for frying,
- butter for greasing the mold.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the pork under running water and pat dry well with paper towels. Take a sharp knife and make a deep cut along the piece to about half its thickness. In this case, it is advisable to try not to cut through the meat. Now you need to make similar cuts to the right and left. Unroll the slice of meat, like a book. Ideally, it should have the same thickness along its entire length.
Step 2
Cover the meat with a bag or cling film and beat well. Rub the pork chopped off with salt and pepper. Set it aside.
Step 3
Start preparing the filling. At this stage, it all depends on your taste preferences. Fried mushrooms or pickled cucumbers are sometimes added to meat rolls with cheese. In these cases, the cheese is cut into long sticks to the size of the meat layer and wrapped in it along with other ingredients. If you decide to use only cheese, then the filling is prepared in a slightly different way.
Step 4
Grate 100 g of cheese on a fine grater. Crush a clove of garlic into it, add chopped fresh herbs, season with pepper or other spices to taste. Mix curd and sour cream.
Step 5
Place the cheese and garlic filling on the pork bed. Roll a neat roll out of it. At the same time, make sure that the filling is not squeezed out and is completely covered with meat. Tie the roll with thread or hold it together with a toothpick. To prevent the filling from falling out on the sides, cut off small pieces of meat and cover the open sides of the roll with them.
Step 6
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan and fry the roll on it on all sides until golden brown. Transfer to a buttered baking dish.
Step 7
Bake the meatloaf with cheese for about 1.5 hours in the oven at 180 degrees. Sprinkle the leftover cheese on a coarse grater 20 minutes before cooking. Remove the finished roll from the oven and let stand for 15 minutes.
