  • Orange juice - 50 ml;
  • Powdered sugar - 100 g.

Preparation:

  1. First you need to sift the flour. In a bowl, combine it with sugar, semolina, vanilla sugar, add baking powder and mix everything.
  2. In the dry mixture, one at a time, you need to break the eggs and stir everything until smooth.
  3. Add the previously melted butter to the dough. Then grate the orange zest on a fine grater and combine with the dough. Knead everything thoroughly.
  4. Now you need to take a baking dish and grease it with vegetable oil. Pour the resulting dough into it.
  5. It is necessary to bake for about 30-35 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
  6. While the cake is baking, you can make a soaking syrup. To do this, pour orange juice into a small saucepan, add sugar and cloves. The mixture must be heated so that the sugar is completely dissolved. It should be monitored and stirred all the time, the syrup should thicken a little. You need to cook it for about 15 minutes.
  7. When the cake is ready, it must be allowed to cool and taken out of the mold onto a dish. Poke deep holes with a fork or knife and pour over the syrup so that it is thoroughly soaked.
  8. And finally, you need to prepare the icing for the cake. To do this, you need to mix orange juice with powdered sugar to the desired consistency. If the glaze is too liquid, you can add more powder to it, or vice versa.
  9. Pour the icing on top of the soaked pie, the orange pie is ready. If desired, you can decorate with confectionery sprinkles, chocolate or coconut flakes.
