The familiar to many "herring under a fur coat", which we cook with beets, can be replaced with the original salad "Fox fur coat with mushrooms." Herring is also taken as the basis of the salad, but if desired, it can be replaced with pink salmon, salmon and even chicken.

It is necessary

  • 200 grams of champignons or porcini mushrooms,
  • 1 herring,
  • 2 carrots,
  • 1 potato,
  • 1 onion
  • 125 grams of smoked cheese,
  • 4 tbsp. tablespoons of mayonnaise.

Instructions

Step 1

Put carrots and potatoes in a saucepan, fill with water, salt a little and boil.

Step 2

Pour champignons with water and rinse well, then pour over them with a small amount of boiling water and cut into strips. We also chop one peeled onion.

Step 3

Fry champignons and mushrooms in a preheated pan with the addition of vegetable oil. All the water that we drain should come out of the mushrooms. We continue to fry until the mushrooms are ready.

Smoked cheese (sausage), large three.

Step 4

On a flat plate (preferably a wide one), we install a forming ring (can be made from foil) and begin to collect the salad.

Step 5

First, put the finely chopped herring (you can cut it into cubes or strips).

Put champignons with onions on the herring. Put smoked (sausage) cheese on the champignons, coat with a little mayonnaise.

Put potatoes cut into small cubes on mayonnaise (you can rub them on a coarse grater), grease with mayonnaise. Put coarsely grated carrots on top, grease with mayonnaise. On mayonnaise, using a wooden stick, you can draw a pattern - if you wish. We leave the salad in the refrigerator for half an hour, after which we remove the forming ring and serve the salad on the table. Decorate with a sprig of dill or parsley before serving.
