Today we will prepare a delicious delicacy - Alaska cake with ice cream and meringue.
For the basics:
- Vanilla ice cream 500 g,
- Half a kilo of orange ice cream,
- 500 g ready-made biscuit slices.
For the meringue:
- 4 squirrels,
- A third of a glass of sugar
- Half a spoonful of lemon juice.
Preparation
Parchment paper is placed in a baking dish. Then vanilla ice cream is laid out and the form is sent to the freezer for an hour. Then orange ice cream is laid out and the same form is sent to the freezer for an hour. Then biscuit slices are stacked on top. The cake goes into the freezer for more than one hour.
Meanwhile, the meringue is being prepared. The chilled whites are whipped with lemon juice, sugar is gradually introduced during the whipping process. The result should be a thick, stable, fluffy foam.
The workpiece is removed from the freezer and flipped onto the base. The paper is removed, and meringues are laid on all sides. The foam is laid in bizarre shapes and covers the entire surface of the cake.
An Alaska cake is placed in an oven preheated to 250 degrees and baked until a characteristic golden crust is formed. She usually appears in about three minutes. The finished product is served immediately to the table until the ice cream has melted.
