Lesnaya Polyana salad will not go unnoticed on the festive table. Its original appearance - neat mushroom caps surrounded by greenery - will not only arouse the interest of your guests, but also whet their appetite.

It is necessary

    • - 1 can of pickled mushrooms or honey agarics;
    • - 400 g chicken fillet;
    • - 400 g of cheese;
    • - 3 potatoes;
    • - 2-3 pickled cucumbers;
    • - 3 chicken eggs;
    • - 200 g of mayonnaise;
    • - 400 g of greens;
    • - salt
    • ground black pepper to taste.

Step 1

Line a deep flat-bottom plate with cling film. Instead of a film, the walls of the dishes can be thoroughly greased with vegetable oil. Drain the brine from the mushroom jar. For this salad, choose champignons, honey mushrooms or other strong, whole pickled mushrooms. Fold the mushrooms tightly to each other on a plate, legs up.

Step 2

Finely chop the parsley, dill, green onions and sprinkle with the mushrooms. Press the greens a little with your hands to the previous layer. There should be a lot of greenery so that it completely covers the layer of mushrooms. The mushroom legs should not show through the green layer. The greens give the salad an original look, imitating the green grass in a forest glade.

Step 3

Boil chicken eggs hard-boiled, peel and cut into small cubes. Cook the chicken breast and potatoes separately until tender.

Put the next layer on the greens - crushed eggs. Top with mayonnaise and spread with a spoon.

Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and place on top of the mayonnaise. Along with the chicken, you can put boiled sausage, ham, or even boiled beef in the salad. Cut pickled or pickled cucumbers into thin strips, squeeze the brine lightly and place on top of the meat layer. Instead of pickled cucumbers, you can take fresh ones. Brush the cucumbers with mayonnaise.

Dice the boiled potatoes or grate them on a coarse grater, then carefully lay the next layer on the salad. Add salt and season with ground black pepper if desired. Grate hard cheese on a medium grater and sprinkle potatoes on top.

Step 7

Leave the salad to soak for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. Cover the salad with another deep bowl as a lid and turn it upside down in a sharp motion, pressing the bowl firmly. Peel off the cling film carefully. The mushroom layer is now the topmost layer. Decorate with herbs as you like.
