Caramelized chicken and apple salad is a delicious salad that has a delicate sweet and sour taste. This salad will be especially appreciated by sweet lovers. This dish can be served both with family and festive tables.
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet (can be replaced with breast) - 1 kg;
- Seasoning for chicken - ½ tsp;
- Red apple - 2 pcs;
- Vegetable oil;
- Red bell pepper - 1 pc;
- Sugar - 40 g;
- Apple juice (from green apples for sourness) - 100 ml;
- Water - 2 tablespoons;
- Butter - 20 g;
- Hot red pepper.
Preparation:
- Chicken meat (if it is breast, then remove bones), wash, dry and cut into slices. Mix vegetable oil with half a teaspoon of any chicken seasoning (choose your favorite seasoning to taste). Dip the chicken cubes in the oil and seasoning mixture. Fry in a skillet (preheated) for about 3 minutes.
- Wash the pepper thoroughly and remove the seeds. Cut it into small wedges. Then wash the apples, remove the cores from them. Cut the apples into wedges as well. Pour boiling water over the apple slices.
- Pour water into a frying pan and add sugar to it. Heat contents vigorously. After that, put the apples there and mix well. The apples should be evenly caramelized. Remove the apple wedges from the pan and set aside. Next, lightly fry the chopped peppers in vegetable oil.
- Next, prepare a thick salad dressing. To do this, add apple juice and a generous pinch of red hot pepper to the caramel remaining in the pan, add butter there. Boil the mixture over low heat. The sauce should be of medium thickness (like sour cream) - it will take about 6-7 minutes.
- Now you need to collect the salad. Put the fried and dried chicken fillet, caramelized apple slices and fried red pepper in a beautiful deep salad bowl. Pour the prepared sauce generously over the salad.
Serve the caramelized apple and chicken salad before the main course.
