Broccoli and shrimp cake is an unusual dish that has an interesting unique taste. In addition, the broccoli and shrimp cake turns out to be very beautiful, therefore it will become a decoration both on the family and on the festive table.
Ingredients:
- Shrimp - 300 g;
- Broccoli - 700 g;
- Puff pastry - 0.5 kg;
- Eggs - 8 pcs;
- Milk (non-fat) - 250 g;
- Cream (low-fat) - 250 g;
- Sifted flour - 50 g;
- Butter - 20 g;
- Salt, black pepper.
Preparation:
- To make a broccoli and shrimp birthday cake, the first step is to prepare the dough. You can make it yourself or buy it at the supermarket. Store-bought yeast puff pastry needs to be defrosted thoroughly.
- Next, you need to prepare the filling. To do this, boil the shrimp. They need to be thawed and thrown into boiling water, which needs to be slightly salted. Shrimps are boiled for only 3-4 minutes. Boiled and cooled shrimps need to be peeled: remove the shell and separate the head.
- The second component of the filling is broccoli. Defrost the broccoli and, just like the shrimps, put them in boiling, slightly salted water. Broccoli is boiled for 2-3 minutes. Then put the cabbage in a bowl with very cold water for a couple of minutes. Dry the broccoli on a napkin.
- Then you need to roll out the pie dough in the form of a large tortilla. Sprinkle the dough with flour so that it does not stick to the work surface. Transfer the dough to a split baking dish, greased with melted butter and lined with parchment. It is important that the edges of the cake bend about 3 centimeters onto the walls of the mold. They need to be bent inward - you get something like a plate.
- Then put the filling on the dough: broccoli and shrimp. Pour the whipped mixture of eggs, cream and milk over the filling. You can add ground nutmeg if desired. Season the filling with salt and pepper.
- The oven temperature for baking a cake is 220 degrees. The shrimp and broccoli cake is baked for about an hour.
Serve the ready-made ruddy cake with shrimp and broccoli hot.
