Ratatouille is a popular French dish that is simple and tasty to prepare. This dish consists of vegetables - tomatoes, zucchini, sweet peppers and onions. But you can deviate from the original recipe to get a more satisfying dish. It is enough to add canned tuna to the dish.
It is necessary
- For six servings:
- - 1.5 kg of zucchini;
- - 750 g of tomatoes;
- - 200 g of canned tuna;
- - 120 ml of olive oil;
- - 2 onions;
- - 1 green pepper;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the bulbs, chop finely. Peel the zucchini from the skin, remove the seeds, finely chop. Remove seeds from pepper too, cut into cubes. Remove the skins from the tomatoes, chop finely. Mash the tuna with a fork.
Step 2
Take a large skillet and heat 4 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil. Add zucchini, cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. After that, pour in 3 tbsp. tablespoons of water, cook for 15 minutes.
Step 3
In a small skillet, heat 3 tbsp. spoons of oil, add pepper, cover, cook for 15 minutes over low heat. Remove the pepper from the pan, add the onion there, cook until golden brown.
Step 4
Add the tomatoes to the onion, cook for 20 minutes, the mixture should be like a sauce.
Step 5
Add onion and tomatoes to the zucchini, add fried peppers, cook together for 10 minutes. Then add tuna to the dish, stir. Serve the ratatouille hot.
