It is necessary

  • • 4 tablespoons or 4 sachets of gelatin
  • • 1.5 cups of water
  • • 2 glasses of small jelly candies (like "bears")
  • • 1 cup corn syrup (or sugar, if possible)
  • • 1/4 teaspoon of teaspoon salt
  • • powdered sugar
  • • 1 cup of sugar
  • • vegetable oil

Instructions

Step 1

In a deep bowl, combine 3/4 cup water and 4 gelatin sachets. Stir with a spoon until the mixture is thick and firm.

Step 2

To make a good homemade marshmallow, combine corn syrup (or sugar), gummies, salt, 3/4 cup water, and sugar in a separate saucepan.

Step 3

Put the mixture prepared in the previous step on low heat and stir constantly until almost all the candies are melted. Then reduce heat and heat mixture until simmer. The cooking temperature can be checked as follows: if you drop some of the mixture into cold water, a lump should form quickly. Once you remove it from the water, it should flatten into a lozenge in your hand after a few seconds. Continue heating the mixture at exactly this temperature.

Step 4

Once a thick, homogeneous mixture is obtained, extinguish the heat and using a mixer at high speed, beat it with the addition of soaked gelatin. Beat for about 15 minutes (to make the homemade marshmallows smooth).

Step 5

Take a shallow rectangular shape and place parchment paper inside it, lightly brush with oil. Pour the thick mixture prepared in the previous step into it. Spread it evenly over the entire mold and leave to cool for 10-12 hours. After that, the homemade marshmallow will harden and you can cut it.

Step 6

Sprinkle an even layer of powdered sugar on your worktable. Then pour the frozen mixture out of the mold onto the previously sprinkled icing sugar. At this point, you can slice the marshmallows beautifully at home. You can use a heart-shaped cookie cutter or cut out the hearts with a knife. After the figures are cut, cover them with a layer of powdered sugar to keep them from sticking together.
