Chicken with dried fruits will become the main decoration of any celebration. This dish will not only surprise the guests, but also give the chicken an exquisite unusual taste.
Even a novice cook can repeat a simple cooking recipe. Wash dried fruits thoroughly before use and soak for 30-40 minutes in cool boiled water.
For one whole chicken carcass you need: dried fruits (raisins, prunes, dried apricots, dates, figs) 350 g, fresh apple 2 pcs., Lemon 1 pc., Grape juice (or white wine) 250 ml, salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking steps:
- Rinse the carcass well, remove the entrails, clean the remaining feathers. Place on a cutting board. Rub with a mixture of salt and pepper on the outside and inside.
- Drain the dried fruit into a separate container.
- Stuff the chicken with dried fruits. Fasten the hole with toothpicks or sew up. Tuck the skin of the neck under the breast bone.
- Place in a baking dish. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and put the chicken on for 2 hours.
- The chicken will begin to secrete fat. If it is not enough, then you should pour it with grape juice or wine. Half an hour before the end of baking, pour over the water in which the dried fruits have been soaked.
- The finished dish can be served with fresh or baked fruit (wash apples and lemon, cut into 8 pieces, sprinkle with sugar and bake with chicken for 30-40 minutes).
