"Namura" is a traditional oriental sweet, especially popular in Syria and Libya. It is made from semolina, which is then soaked in sugar syrup and sprinkled with nut flakes. Despite the simplicity of the ingredients, it turns out surprisingly tasty and unusual! Why don't we try to cook manna like oriental?
It is necessary
- The foundation:
- - 4 tbsp. semolina;
- - 1 tbsp. Sahara;
- - 1 tbsp. coconut flakes;
- - 4 tsp baking powder;
- - 2 tbsp. fatty kefir;
- - 2 tbsp. olive oil.
- Syrup:
- - 2 tbsp. Sahara;
- - 1 tbsp. water;
- - juice of 1 lemon.
Instructions
Step 1
Set the oven to warm up to 200 degrees in advance.
Step 2
Combine semolina with sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. Then add kefir, shavings and vegetable oil there. Stir well and pour into a large baking sheet. Layer thickness - 1.5 cm, not higher! Place in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. A sign of the readiness of the cake is a golden crust on top.
Step 3
While the base is baking, prepare the soaking syrup. To do this, in a small saucepan, mix sugar and water, wait for it to boil, add lemon juice and keep on high heat until thickened (about 10 minutes).
Step 4
We take the finished cake out of the oven, immediately cut it into portioned pieces with a knife and pour the syrup directly into the baking sheet. Without removing it from the mold, we wait until the dessert has cooled down, and only then serve.
