Sausage buns are a good alternative to regular sandwiches. It is convenient to take such pastries with you on the road or on a picnic. It also goes well with breakfast. Try this simple yet delicious dish.
It is necessary
- - boiled sausage - 700 g;
- - wheat flour - 500-550 g;
- - milk - 1 glass;
- - fast-acting yeast - 1 teaspoon;
- - eggs - 2 pcs.;
- - egg yolk - 1 pc.;
- - butter - 80 g;
- - salt - a pinch;
- - Mediterranean herbs to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
After heating the milk to a warm state, add fast-acting yeast and 150 grams of wheat flour to it. After mixing this mixture well, set it aside for about 20 minutes. During this time, the dough will rise and begin to bubble.
Step 2
Into the finished dough, add raw chicken eggs, a pinch of salt and butter, melted until soft. Then pour the remaining wheat flour there. Stir the resulting mixture and knead a fairly soft and docile dough out of it. If it seems to you that there is not enough flour, then feel free to add it. Place the well-kneaded dough in the heat for about 60 minutes. During this time, it will increase quite strongly in volume.
Step 3
Cut the risen dough into 9 equal-sized pieces. Then divide each of them into 3 more parts and roll out in the shape of a cake, the diameter of which is slightly larger than the diameter of the sausage.
Step 4
Cut the boiled sausage into slices, the thickness of which is 3-4 millimeters.
Step 5
Place a piece of sausage on a rolled flat cake. Cover it with dough and place another piece of sausage. Place the third cake on top. Make 5 rather deep cuts on the formed "structure" - 2 at the top and 3 at the bottom. The top should be between the bottom. Now fold the buns so that the slices are at the top, that is, so that the sausage is visible.
Step 6
After placing the future sausage buns on a baking sheet with baking paper, brush the surface of each with pre-beaten egg yolk. Sprinkle a mixture of Mediterranean herbs on top of them. Bake the dish in the oven at 180 degrees for half an hour.
Step 7
After the time has elapsed, remove the baked goods from the oven and let cool. Sausage buns are ready!
