    • Pizza with tomatoes and onions:
    • 400 g of dough;
    • 6 meaty tomatoes;
    • 2 onions;
    • olive oil;
    • salt;
    • freshly ground black pepper.
    • Spicy pizza with onions and cheese:
    • 400 g of dough;
    • 5 onions;
    • 2 cloves of garlic;
    • 500 g of tomatoes;
    • a bunch of fresh basil;
    • 100 g gorgonzola;
    • 100 g mozzarella;
    • olive oil;
    • ready-made tomato sauce;
    • salt;
    • freshly ground black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the dough. Dissolve the yeast in a cup of warm water, put the sifted flour in a slide, make a depression at the top and carefully pour the water and yeast into it. Add salt and olive oil. Knead the dough thoroughly for at least 15 minutes - it should become elastic and soft. Cover the lump with a napkin and place in a warm place. After an hour, roll out the dough into a thin layer on a floured table. Place on a baking sheet or in a round dish, prick in several places with a fork.

Step 2

Chop the onion finely and fry it in hot oil until golden brown. Scald the tomatoes, peel them off, remove the grains, and chop the pulp with a knife and put on the onion. Stir the mixture, salt and pepper. Heat over low heat, covered for 10-15 minutes. Cool the filling and spread it evenly over the surface of the dough. Place the pizza in a preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Try the richer and spicier version with a cheese platter. Prepare the dough according to the previous recipe. Cut the onion into thin rings and fry in hot olive oil until transparent. Chop the garlic finely and put on top of the onion. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes, remove the skin and seeds and cut into slices. Chop the basil greens, leaving a couple of leaves for garnish. Chop the gorgonzola and mozzarella into cubes.

Step 4

Roll out the dough into a thin layer and transfer to a baking sheet. Prick the workpiece with a fork. Brush the surface of the pizza with the prepared tomato sauce, spread the fried onions and garlic, tomato slices and cheese cubes on top. Sprinkle the filling with herbs, salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle the pizza lightly with olive oil and place in the oven preheated to 180 Β° C. Bake for 20-25 minutes, before serving, cut into portions and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
