It is necessary

  • - 500 g veal
  • - 100 ml dry wine
  • - 100 g dried apricots
  • - 100 g prunes
  • - 100 g raisins
  • - 3 tbsp. l. butter
  • - 50 g walnuts
  • - 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • - 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • - 1 pinch each of rosemary, cinnamon, cardamom
  • - salt
  • - vegetable oil

Instructions

Step 1

Put all the dried fruits in a deep bowl, pour boiling water over them for 10 minutes. After the indicated time, drain the water. Pour 1.5 cups of water into a small saucepan, bring it to a boil, add dried fruit immediately. Boil dried fruits until the water is exactly half less.

Step 2

Grate a whole piece of veal with pepper, salt and vegetable oil, wrap in foil and put in the oven for 45 minutes, preheated to 200 degrees. After 30 minutes of baking, remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, until the end of cooking.

Step 3

Put the butter in a large frying pan, heat it well, then add the dried fruits along with the liquid in which they were cooked. Bring everything to a boil, add wine and peeled and chopped walnuts. Add spices to the pan, wait until everything boils.

Step 4

Put the meat in a pan, mix well and simmer for 20-25 minutes over low heat. During stewing, the meat should be turned over and sprinkled with sauce, which will sink to the bottom. After cooking, cut the meat into pieces, put on plates, pour over the sauce remaining after cooking the veal, garnish with herbs. Fragrant veal with dried fruits is ready.
