If you think that such a dish is not for everybody's taste, then you are mistaken! Cabbage stewed in its own juice with pumpkin and carrots will please everyone! Suitable for baby food.
It is necessary
- -200 grams of pumpkin,
- -500 grams of cabbage,
- -2 medium onions,
- -1 medium carrots,
- - dried basil to taste,
- - dried marjoram to taste,
- - dried rosemary to taste
- - a small piece of butter for frying,
- - a little salt,
- - allspice peas - to taste
- - red ground sweet pepper - a pinch,
- - ground black pepper - to taste (without it),
- -1 tbsp. a spoonful of edible vinegar
- -3-4 tomatoes.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the white cabbage into thin strips.
Wash the pumpkin, peel and grate coarsely.
Wash the carrots, grate in the same way as the pumpkin.
Step 2
Combine shredded cabbage, grated carrots and pumpkin in a large cup. Squeeze out the cabbage juice. Sprinkle with allspice, add food vinegar and stir well. Cover the kale with a plate and set aside for three hours.
Step 3
Peel and chop the onion. Fry in a little butter. Sprinkle with dry spices to taste and stir well.
Step 4
After the onion turns transparent, add cabbage to the pan, stir. Fry over moderate heat.
Step 5
Peel the tomatoes, chop in any convenient way. Add chopped tomatoes to the skillet with cabbage, stir, cover and reduce heat. Continue simmering the cabbage until tender.
Step 6
A few minutes before cooking, season with salt and pepper to taste. If you do not like spicy dishes, then you can skip the ground black pepper. Sprinkle fresh chopped herbs over the cabbage before serving.
