Don't drink out of grief, or to relax or relieve stress. These alleged reasons to buy vodka or beer have become the most popular among alcohol addicts. Learn to deal with your problems without drinking. Find ways to relax, such as in a relationship with a loved one or in sports.

Do not give in to the persuasion of friends to drink "for the company", do not answer nonsense like "do you respect me?" Such people, first of all, show their alcohol dependence and disrespect for your position. It is unlikely that such a relationship has any value at all for you.

Limit communication with a circle of acquaintances, meetings with whom never take place without alcohol. If you know for sure that when you come to someone's house you will have to drink, it is better not to go there at all. The same applies to get-togethers in restaurants and bars.

Drink half of what is poured during the holidays. This is a surefire way to cut back on your evening alcohol intake. A glass was poured for you - drink a third or a half. Take a sip from a glass of wine or champagne and place it back on the table.
