If you need to whip milk, then you've decided to make a coffee latte at home. Milk with a fat content of 3.2% is most suitable for this purpose. When whipping such milk, air molecules come into contact with protein compounds, as a result of which a seductive and persistent foam is formed, on which beautiful patterns can be made.
Instructions
Step 1
To whip up seductive foam, use the steam tap, popularly called "coffee makers" or coffee machines. Pour warm milk into a special metal pitcher. Check and prepare the steam tap. To do this, take it to the side and turn it on for a couple of seconds to dump the collected water. Then submerge it in the milk jug almost to the very bottom. Turn it on and off after a second. Repeat short blowing of steam twice. Then slowly and confidently begin to lift the spout of the steam tap up to the border of milk and air. This is where the foam forms. Tilt the jug slightly, make a small storm with a crane. Turn off the device as soon as the required amount of foam has formed. Remember, the whole process should take place on the edge of the jug. It is not always possible to make persistent milk foam. Exercise and you will start to get a thick and stable foam.
Step 2
If you don't have a coffee machine, use a small milk mixer with different attachments. Heat the milk slightly on a gas stove or microwave. Hot, but not boiled milk whips easily. Pour milk into a metal container, tilt it, then immerse the mixer with the attachment in it and start whisking. Move the nozzle in different directions until the milk begins to froth. Select the mixer mode that has low amplitude and high speed. Try different nozzles until you find the one that works best for your silky foam.
Step 3
Another way to whip coffee foam is a French press. Heat the milk, but do not bring it to a boil. Pour the warmed milk into a French press. Then start lowering the plunger. While gently holding the lid, whisk the milk by raising and lowering the handrail. The milk will begin to foam and swell. Please note that if the milk is overheated, the foam will not churn.
Step 4
The milk froth can be whipped with a blender, whisk, or any other similar device. But it takes a lot of time. Whisk the milk slightly over the steam and beat in quick strokes.
