Compote is an easy-to-make drink that will not only quickly quench your thirst, but also saturate the body with various vitamins. Raisin compote can become unexpected and a little unusual. However, it is an incredibly tasty and healthy alternative to various concentrated juices and sodas.

- sugar - 250 g;
- water - 1.5 liters.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a pot that is suitable for the size. Pour in the required amount of water.
Step 2
Prepare the raisins. For compote, you can use raisins of dark or light varieties. Depending on which variety you prefer, the color and taste of the drink will change. First, the raisins must be carefully sorted out. Then pour it into a colander or sieve and rinse well under running water. Repeat the procedure if necessary. If the raisins are heavily soiled, soak them in warm water for a while. This is especially true for light varieties of raisins, because for better storage, it is treated with chemicals.
Step 3
Transfer the prepared raisins to a saucepan with water and add 250 g of granulated sugar.
Step 4
Put the pan on gas, bring to a boil, turn off the gas so that the compote does not boil too much, and continue to cook for 40-50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Remove the pan from heat. Add sugar to taste if necessary. You can add a little lemon juice if you want a sour taste. Drink the compote chilled or hot, like tea.
