The herring cake, cut into small pieces, is a worthy substitute for the traditional herring under a fur coat. It will be a great decoration for any table.

- - 300 g of champignons;
- - 2 onions;
- - 300 g of carrots;
- - 200 g of mayonnaise;
- - 100 g of hard cheese;
- - 1 bunch of greens.
Instructions
Step 1
Grind the herring fillets in a blender along with one onion.
Step 2
Peel the onion and wash it. Chop finely and fry with the mushrooms. Boil the carrots and chop them together with the cheese using a blender. If desired, the cheese can be grated.
Step 3
Carrots need to be “cooked”. You can use the microwave for this. At 900 watts, it will take about 8 minutes for the carrots to be cooked.
Step 4
That's all the preparatory procedures! Now, in fact, we form the herring cake. We take the first waffle cake, and put the herring with onions on it. Spread the mass evenly over the entire cake. Cover this mass with mayonnaise on top, add a second waffle crust and begin to form the next layer.
Step 5
Place the fried mushrooms and onions on the second crust. Spread mayonnaise on it too.
Step 6
The third layer will be carrots, on top of which you also need to put a layer of mayonnaise. All three of these layers need to be repeated. Sprinkle the topmost layer with carrots with cheese, and decorate the top with a sprig of greens.
Step 7
Before use, the cake should be infused in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Better to leave it for 3 hours. The longer it sits in the refrigerator, the easier it will be to cut later.
