- Butter - 200 g;
- Sugar - 1 glass;
- Cocoa - 30 g;
- Ground walnuts - 520 g.
Instructions
Step 1
The time it takes to make a honey waffle cake largely depends on whether you use ready-made store-bought waffle cakes or bake them yourself. Despite the fact that it is faster to cook with store-bought cakes, it is better to bake them yourself, in this case the cake will turn out to be much tastier.
Step 2
The dough for wafer cakes is kneaded as follows: pour 2/3 cup of water into a saucepan, add sugar, soda, vanillin and mix everything well with a mixer or blender. Then beat the eggs, add flour, stir again. After that, without stopping stirring, pour in the melted butter and beat for 5-10 minutes. The consistency of the finished dough should resemble sour cream.
Step 3
Turn on the waffle iron in advance so that it warms up well. Lubricate both surfaces with vegetable oil, usually only for the first crust. Put a little dough on the bottom of the waffle iron, the right amount is selected empirically - so that when the lid is down, the dough is distributed over the entire lower part, but does not flow out. The waffle cake should be baked for about two minutes, after which it must be removed and cooled.
Step 4
Now prepare the composition for impregnating the cakes. Heat oil over low heat, add honey. After the butter in the saucepan has melted, add the pre-cooked cocoa and sugar mixture. Stir for a few minutes, then remove from heat. Pour some of the impregnation into a teacup, add ground walnuts to the rest. Don't forget to leave some nuts to sprinkle on top of the cake later.
Step 5
Water the cakes with the resulting mixture and stack on top of each other. Sprinkle the top crust with the impregnation previously poured into a cup and sprinkle with nuts on top. If the cake is too fluffy and the cakes diverge, it can be placed under a load, such as a saucepan. To prevent the bottom of the pan from sticking to the cake, it should be well sprinkled with nuts. Let the cake cool.
