It is necessary

  • Pure water - about 2 liters;
  • Cranberries (fresh or frozen) - 1 standard glass;
  • Sugar - 0, 3 - 1 glass;
  • Starch - 2 tablespoons.

Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to thoroughly rinse the berries in cold water. Both fresh and frozen, they usually contain miniature leaves and twigs, which will be completely redundant in the finished drink. Therefore, it is important to carefully select them beforehand when rinsing the cranberries.

Step 2

All the water is added to the pan, berries and sugar are poured out. The amount of sugar depends on the tastes of the hostess herself and the household. It is better to crush the cranberries with a spoon during the cooking process so that in the future jelly there will be as much juice and vitamins as possible. After boiling, the berries are boiled for about 10 minutes. If you heat the cranberries in a saucepan beforehand until they become gruel, then 5 minutes will be enough. Such a short brewing period will allow you to preserve all the nutrients in the drink.

Step 3

Next, the berry broth is passed through a sieve. The cake can be thrown away or added to the cranberry sauce for meat. The filtered liquid is again sent to the fire.

Step 4

The starch is carefully diluted in 0.5 glass of cold water, and then poured into the very middle of the hot drink in a thin stream. In this case, you should constantly stir it with your second hand.

Step 5

Immediately after boiling, the jelly is removed from the heat and sent to cool. Be sure to cover it with a lid so that a dense film does not form on the surface of the drink. You can drink jelly already hot, if you wish, add a couple of mint leaves and a little cinnamon to it.
