In addition, the pronounced sour taste of this berry is a vivid evidence of the content in it of a significant amount of vitamin C, which has a general strengthening effect, increases the efficiency of the immune system and, as a result, the body's resistance to various infections during the spread of colds.

In addition, cranberries contain a large amount of trace elements necessary for the normal functioning of the human body, including such rare components as molybdenum and cobalt. With all this, cranberries contain about 0.7% of pectin - a natural binding agent that removes from the body those elements that are harmful to it, for example, heavy metals.

However, due to the specific sour taste, there are relatively few people who like to consume raw cranberries. It is especially difficult to include it in the children's diet. Therefore, one of the ways to use the combination of the beneficial properties of cranberries with a pleasant taste is to make fruit drink from this berry.

The recipe for making cranberry juice is quite simple. In order to get about 1.5 liters of the finished drink, you will need one glass of cranberries, half a glass of sugar and 1.5 liters of water. To prepare the fruit drink, squeeze the juice out of the berry: this can be done, for example, by squeezing it out with gauze or other fabric. You can use a sieve and spoon, but in this case, you should avoid using metal tools, as they can give the finished drink an unpleasant aftertaste. Finally, if you have a juicer in your kitchen, you can get the results you want with it. At the same time, both fresh and frozen cranberries can be used to prepare fruit drinks.

The resulting cake should be transferred to prepared water and boiled over low heat for 5-10 minutes. After the broth has cooled, it should be filtered, thereby freeing it from the remnants of the squeezed cranberries, and add sugar and juice to it, stirring the drink thoroughly. The cranberry juice is ready and you can enjoy its taste and benefits.
