Classic Lean Manna

To prepare lean manna in water and without eggs, you will need:

- 300 g semolina;

- 100 g of granulated sugar;

- 100 ml of sunflower oil;

- 2 tbsp. l. cocoa powder;

- 100 g of raisins;

- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (vanillin);

- 1 tsp baking powder;

- 250 ml of water.

Pour semolina into a deep bowl and combine with sugar. According to this recipe, the manna is not very sweet, dietary, therefore, if desired, the amount of sugar can be increased. Add vanilla sugar or plain vanillin on the tip of a knife to a bowl, then stir well.

Pour boiled water at room temperature into the dry mixture, stir and leave for 1-2 hours so that the semolina can swell. In the meantime, prepare the other ingredients for the manna: rinse the raisins and soak them in lukewarm water.

After 1-2 hours, add odorless sunflower oil, baking powder and cocoa powder to the mixture. Then mix the dough thoroughly so that there are no lumps left in it. In consistency and appearance, it should turn out to be elastic, but not very thick.

Strain the soaked raisins and leave to drain, then add to the dough. You can also put chopped nuts there, any dried fruits of your choice. Stir the dough again.

Grease a baking dish with sunflower oil, put out the dough for the manna, smooth and send to the preheated oven, in which bake at medium temperature for about 1 hour.

Leave the finished manna to cool, then cut into pieces in portions. You can also cut the manna lengthwise and fill it with jam, jam, jam, etc.

Lemon Lean Manna

Fruit and berry lovers will appreciate the lean lemon manna. In this recipe, you can replace lemon with any berries: cranberries, currants, blueberries, raspberries, etc. (use both fresh and frozen berries). You will need:

- 1 glass of semolina;

- 1 cup of sugar;

- 0.5 cups of flour;

- 50 ml of vegetable oil;

- ½ tsp. baking soda;

- 2 tsp starch;

- lemon;

- 2 glasses of water;

- salt.

First, prepare the lemon manna filling. Wash the lemon, peel, cut into small pieces and combine with 2-3 tbsp. l. sugar, stir. Do not throw out the lemon zest, it will come in handy for the test.

Dissolve the starch in a little water, and then add another ¾ tbsp. boiled water and mix with lemon and sugar. Put this mixture on low heat and cook for about 10 minutes until a thick consistency, then leave the lemon jam to cool.

Get busy making dough. Connect ¾ st. sugar and semolina, pour in 1 tbsp. water and leave for a while to swell the semolina. Grate half of the lemon zest on a fine grater. Quench the baking soda with vinegar. Add flour, zest, soda and vegetable oil to the dough, mix thoroughly. The consistency of the dough should be thick and similar to sour cream.

Grease a baking dish with a little oil, then add the first half of the dough, level it, add the lemon filling and cover with the second half of the dough. Place in a preheated oven over medium heat for about 30 minutes. Cool the finished lemon manna, then cut and serve.
