Manty is a type of dumplings. Manti differ in the composition of the minced meat and in the method of preparation: they are not cooked in water, like dumplings, but steamed in a special saucepan - a mantov cooker. If there is no such pan, you can boil the manti in the following way.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 500 g flour,
- - 150 ml of water,
- - salt.
- For filling:
- - 500 g of lamb,
- - 50 g of lamb fat (fat tail fat),
- - 3 large onions,
- - salt, pepper - to taste
Instructions
Step 1
If the house does not have a manti cooker, boil the manti using a regular colander. Pour water into a saucepan, cover and put it on fire. Lubricate the colander with sunflower oil and put the manti in it.
Step 2
Once the water boils, insert a colander into the pot. Cover the dish with a lid or large bowl. Boil the manti for 45 minutes while boiling water. Put ready-made manti on a dish, pour with melted butter, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve.
Step 3
Cook the manti in a regular skillet. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, put the manti and fill them with warm water, the water level should be above the level of the dish. Put the skillet on fire and cook until tender. In these ways, you can cook both purchased frozen semi-finished products and manty made by yourself.
Step 4
Try homemade Asian-style manti. Combine flour, salt, water and knead the dough. Leave it at room temperature for an hour. Chop the meat and onions finely, add pepper and salt, mix everything.
Step 5
Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into a thin cake. Place a piece of lamb fat on top of each tablespoon of meat. Pin the two opposite ends of the cake together, leaving the center unsecured.
Step 6
Connect further two opposite edges in the same way. At the resulting quadrangle, fasten two corners on both sides. Form the manti and cook them in one of the ways mentioned above.
