Manty is an Asian dish. This is a kind of steamed pouches of dough with minced meat and vegetables. They are usually cooked in a special multi-tiered cooking pot or in a double boiler. Although some housewives do without such devices.
It is necessary
- For filling:
- - 500 g mixed minced meat (pork and beef);
- - large onion;
- - 2-3 cloves of garlic;
- - 3-4 medium potatoes;
- - spices (salt, black pepper, paprika)
- - a bunch of fresh dill;
- - a bunch of fresh green onions.
- For the test:
- - 1 egg;
- - a pinch of salt;
- - 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- - 1 tbsp. water;
- - flour.

- - water;
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the dough first. Beat the egg lightly with a fork, add salt, vegetable oil, water and flour to it. Knead a tight, elastic dough. Wrap with cling film and leave for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Step 2
In the meantime, get busy with the stuffing. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into cubes about 5 mm wide. Finely chop the onion, chop the herbs, pass the garlic through a press. Mix everything with minced meat, add salt and spices to taste. From the dough and filling, mold manti of a convenient shape for you.
Step 3
Chop a frying pan with high sides. Add some vegetable oil and lay out the manti. Wait until the bottom of the products is slightly browned. Reduce heat to low and carefully pour water into the pan so that it covers about a third of the future dish. Cover and cook for 40 minutes. After the time has elapsed, the water in the pan should boil away. Therefore, make sure that the products do not burn.
Step 4
Ready-made manti are obtained with a crispy crust on the bottom and very juicy on the inside. They can be served with ketchup, mayonnaise or any other sauce of your choice.
