Pancakes are a traditional Russian dish. Each housewife baked pancakes at least once in her life. And every housewife knows that it is far from always possible to knead a homogeneous dough without lumps. How was it possible in those days when nothing was known about the mixer yet?
It is necessary
- Egg - 6 pieces
- Flour - 4 cups
- Milk - 6 cups (200 ml)
- Sugar - 4-5 tablespoons
- Salt - half a teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- The proportions are designed for four people.
Instructions
Step 1
First, break all six eggs into a bowl for making dough, add sugar, salt and mix everything thoroughly.
You can use a whisk, or you can just use a fork - the quality of the dough does not change.
Step 2
Then pour only two glasses of milk into this mixture and mix thoroughly again with a whisk or fork.
Step 3
Next, add one glass of flour and mix well again. There will be a lot of lumps in the dough at first. This should not be feared, over time all the lumps will disappear.
Step 4
Now the second glass, and then the third … mix thoroughly after each glass of flour. This is the main secret! As the thickness of the dough increases, all the lumps will dissolve well.
Step 5
Next, we proceed to milk. Pour the remaining milk one glass at a time and mix each one in turn until a homogeneous consistency.
If the amount of milk seems to you very large, half of it can be replaced with pure water - the taste of pancakes and the baking process does not change from this.
Step 6
And the last step is to add a couple of tablespoons of sunflower oil to the pancake dough. This will help the dough not stick to the bottom of the pan when baking.
Our dough is now ready.
Step 7
You can bake pancakes right away. Over medium or low heat, about one minute on each side.
