BBQ fish steak cooking process

For baking on the grill, it is best to use fatty fish, salmon and trout steaks are delicious. Choose large specimens - they will be the most juicy.

You will need:

  • fish 1 kg;
  • juice of half a lemon;
  • cream 20% fat 200 ml;
  • seasoning for kebabs or any spices;
  • onion 2 heads;
  • salt.

Peel the fish, rinse and cut into steaks - the thickness of each piece should be at least 1.5 cm, otherwise the dish will turn out to be dry and not tasty enough. Place the sliced layers of salmon or trout in a deep plate.

Cut the onion into rings or half rings and add to the fish. Pour in the juice of half a lemon. In principle, you can use orange or lime juice, depending on your taste preference. Place the onion in the fish.

Add the kebab seasoning or spices you like best in the cream. Do not forget about salt, but keep in mind that the special spices that are sold in bags may already contain it.

Pour the seasoned cream into a bowl of fish and onions. Mix thoroughly and leave for an hour - this time will be enough. You can prepare the grill, grease the grill for baking steaks.

When everything is prepared and the fish is marinated, place the steaks on a wire rack and fry over hot coals for 7-10 minutes. Don't forget to turn over. Serve the finished steaks with a fresh vegetable salad.
