Thin puff pastry and juicy sweet filling with a pleasant sourness will not leave anyone indifferent!
It is necessary
- 4 sour tough apples
- 100 g dried cranberries;
- 100 g brown sugar or honey;
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon;
- Optional: 1 tsp. corn starch
- diluted in 1 tbsp. cold water;
- 100 g of dry biscuits (for example, "Savoyardi");
- Filo dough (it took me 6 layers);
- Olive oil for greasing the dough.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking the filling. Cut the apples into a medium cube, mix with cranberries, sugar (or honey) in a frying pan and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. If the filling is too liquid, thicken it with starch diluted in cold water according to the instructions.
Step 2
We spread the filo dough on a flat surface. I have layers of 22 by 35 cm. Grease each with oil from the edges and wrap inward by 5 cm. Then sprinkle with crushed cookies and wrap inward again, with the edges towards the center, to make a narrow and long strip.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Put a tablespoon of the filling on the edge of each strip and fold into triangles. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes. Serve warm with tea or coffee. Bon Appetit!
