The combination of pork and soy sauce is one of the most popular in oriental cooking. Flavored ribs and tender chops are prepared with this sauce, kebabs are marinated in it, it is added to minced pork for juicy meatballs.
Pork with vegetables in soy sauce
This pork and soy sauce dish is one of the most famous in the world. Many housewives begin their acquaintance with Chinese cuisine with this particular dish. It is simple, effective and delicious. You will need:
- 500 grams of pork chops;
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce;
- 2 tablespoons of ginger syrup;
- 2 tablespoons of chili sauce;
1 tablespoon brown cane sugar
- ¼ teaspoon of ground chili pepper;
- ½ teaspoon curry;
- 1 head of onion;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1 large sweet bell pepper;
- vegetable oil.
In such a dish, you can add bamboo shoots, fresh chili peppers, peeled from seeds, pods of unripe green peas - mange.
Peel the onions and cut into half rings. Cut off the stalk of the pepper, remove the seeds and partitions, also cut into half rings. Chop the garlic. Combine soy sauce with chili sauce, ginger syrup, curry, sugar and ground pepper. Cut the meat into thin strips.
Heat vegetable oil in a wok, fry peppers and onions. Use tongs or chopsticks to remove the vegetables. Add some more oil to the wok and fry the pork for 3-5 minutes. Pour in the mixture of spices, sauces and syrup, return the vegetables and add the garlic. Fry until a pleasant, characteristic smell appears. This will take about 5 minutes. Serve with Chinese noodles or rice.
Pork ribs in soy marinade
Soy sauce is a great base for a marinade. Pork ribs marinated in it are tasty and aromatic. You will need:
- 500 grams of pork ribs;
- 4 teaspoons of cornstarch;
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce;
- 2 tablespoons of liquid honey;
- a piece of ginger root 2-3 centimeters long;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds.
Soy sauce comes in light and dark colors. Dark is thicker and more aromatic, with a pronounced taste, light is light.
Rinse pork ribs and pat dry. Pour the soy sauce into a small skillet, add the starch, stir until a homogeneous mixture is formed and heat, stirring occasionally, add honey and grated ginger. Turn off the heat, add chopped garlic, chill slightly and marinate the ribs for 20-30 minutes. Cook the ribs by pan-frying, oven-baked or grilled, sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving. Pork marinated in such a sauce will turn out to be a little sticky, glossy and shiny, glazed.
