Delicate, crunchy puff buns and pies in bakery shops are sold out instantly. Sometimes it seems that the preparation of such delicious pies is the lot of only professionals. However, this is not the case. You can also bake puff pastries at home if you try hard. There are several recipes for puff pastry and among them there is one in which the dough can be prepared quite quickly. Puff pastry is sold in convenience stores and in hypermarkets. It is necessary

    • flour;
    • butter;
    • salt;
    • filling;
    • sieve;
    • oven;
    • baking paper.

Instructions

Step 1

Take equal amounts of flour and butter. Sift the flour and add salt to it at the rate of 2 teaspoons of salt per 0.5 kg of flour. Cut the butter into pieces and refrigerate. Pour flour on the table and put pieces of butter in it. Chop flour and butter finely so that you get something like fine cereal. Gradually pour cold water into the dough. For 0.5 kg of flour, you need about 16 glasses of water. Knead the dough, put it in a large bowl, cover with a plastic bag and refrigerate.

Step 2

The "quick" puff pastry makes the best meat pies. While the dough is in the refrigerator, cook the minced meat. If you are making minced meat pies, fry it, add chopped onions and spices to taste. Accordingly, you must first make minced meat from meat by grinding it in a meat grinder. In this case, the onions can be added immediately, alternately grinding the pieces of meat and onions.

Step 3

Roll out the dough. The thinner the layer, the better, but overdoing it is also harmful, as the layer can tear. Roll out the puff pastry in the same way as any other. It is desirable to get something like a rectangle.

Step 4

Cut the resulting sheet into small rectangles or squares. The size of the patties is a matter of taste, as is their shape. For medium-sized patties, cut out 15x15 cm squares. Of course, you do not need to measure them with a ruler.

Step 5

Spread the minced meat on the resulting squares. There should be enough of it so that the pie can be dazzled without especially stretching the dough, but at the same time, the minced meat should not be too small. For a square 15x15 cm, you need about 2 tablespoons of minced meat.

Step 6

Make pies. This can be done in several ways. You can fold the square in half and press the edges tightly with your fingers, and then flatten the pie so that the seam is on top. You can fold the square diagonally and close up the closing sides, and then flatten it a little too.

Step 7

Line a baking sheet with baking paper. If it is not there, you can simply wipe it with vegetable oil so that the pies do not burn. Preheat the oven to about 180 °. Place a baking sheet in there and bake the patties for about 20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
