Traditional puff pastry pies with an unusual filling - the combination of cottage cheese with garlic and herbs gives the classic puffs an interesting taste. The result is a savory snack.
It is necessary
- - 2 packs of frozen puff pastry, 500 g each;
- - 500 g fat-free cottage cheese;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 large bunch of dill;
- - 1 egg;
- - 1 egg yolk for brushing;
- - a large pinch of salt;
- - raw white sesame seeds.
Instructions
Step 1
Stir the cottage cheese, raw chicken egg and salt, mash thoroughly, using a mashed potato crusher. Add chopped dill and garlic, finely chopped or pressed. Stir until smooth.
Step 2
Defrost the puff pastry, place on a floured work surface and roll out to a thickness of about 3 mm. Cut with a knife into rectangular pieces of approximately the same size.
Step 3
Using a teaspoon, place the curd filling on one side of each rectangle. Join the edges of the dough to make a square cushion. Flatten the dough with a wide-toothed fork on all sides.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil or place an oiled sheet of parchment paper on it. Spread the puff pastry over the surface. Brush with shaken yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 5
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve the finished puffs for tea or as a snack.
