Mastic recipe with condensed milk
A glass of milk powder is mixed with powdered sugar in a sufficiently deep container. Condensed milk is gradually added to the mixture, not forgetting to stir the mass with a spoon. The finished mixture should have a uniform consistency. It is laid out on the table, previously sprinkled with powdered sugar.
It is necessary to knead the mastic until the sweet dough stops sticking to your hands. The prepared mastic is divided into several parts and each piece is mixed with the desired food coloring. If the condensed milk mastic remains sticky, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and mix again diligently. A properly cooked product becomes firm, but does not lose its elasticity and softness. The consistency of the mastic should resemble plasticine.
Then the mastic is wrapped in plastic wrap and put into the refrigerator. You can store it in the cold for several days, the product does not deteriorate for a long time. To decorate the cake, the mastic is rolled out with a rolling pin and the necessary elements are cut out of the sweet dough, which are then placed on the surface of the confectionery. You can sculpt figurines from mastic.
It is advisable to cover the cake decorated with figurines of sweet dough with a damp napkin before serving, as the mastic dries quickly and loses its amazing taste.
