Buckwheat with chicken in a slow cooker - fast and tasty

The multicooker has certainly made life easier for many women, especially young moms. After all, you do not need to constantly stand near the device, stirring food, so that it does not burn. You just need to prepare the food, pour it into the bowl and set the desired mode. After a certain time, the "little helper" will sound the signal that dinner is ready and you can sit down at the table. The only problem is that at first it is very difficult to come up with some kind of recipe, so you need to start with the simplest, for example, buckwheat with chicken.

To prepare this dish you will need:

- 300-400 g of chicken, preferably without fat and bones;

- 2, 5 multi-glasses of buckwheat;

- medium-sized onion head;

- one medium-sized carrot;

- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;

- 5 multi-glasses of water;

- salt, pepper, seasonings to taste.

Cooking the dish in stages

So, first of all, you need to peel the onion and cut into small squares, wash, peel and chop the carrots. Rinse the chicken, separate from fat and bones, if any, and cut into small pieces. Then vegetable oil is poured into the multicooker bowl, and vegetables and meat are laid out. The mode will be set depending on the manufacturer. On some models, you need to turn on the "Fry" for 10 minutes at a temperature of 120 degrees, on others the mode may be called "Baking", "Toasting", "Stewing", "Grill". In general, you need to choose the best option based on the characteristics of the multicooker. As already mentioned, you need to fry the chicken, carrots and onions for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally so that everything is evenly baked.

While you have free time, you need to prepare buckwheat: measure 2, 5 multi-glasses of cereal, sort it out, if necessary, and then pour it into a colander and rinse with cold water, let the excess liquid drain. When the allotted time has passed, and the meat and vegetables are fried, it is necessary to pour cereal into the multicooker bowl. Water, salt and spices are added there to taste. Everything is thoroughly mixed and the lid of the unit is closed. Now you need to select the mode, again it will depend on the manufacturer. Most likely, it will be the "Groats", "Buckwheat" or "Rice" mode - any of them will be suitable for preparing a delicious dish. A sound signal will inform you that the food is ready. This will happen 25-40 minutes after the start, the time depends on the multicooker model.

Buckwheat with chicken is a tasty and healthy second dish for the whole family. If desired, you can diversify it by preparing some additional sauce or adding a little chopped greens on top.
