It is necessary

  • - lard (can be with streaks of meat) - 1 kg;
  • - onion peel - 300 grams;
  • - salt - 7 tbsp. spoons;
  • - parsley and / or dill greens - to taste;
  • - black peppercorns - 5-7 pcs.;
  • - head of garlic - 1 pc.;
  • - lavrushka - 1-2 leaves;
  • - clean water - 2 liters.

Instructions

Step 1

The first step is to prepare the onion skins. Peel about 10 medium-sized onions to obtain the correct amount. Then the husk must be selected, throwing away the bad and too dirty. The rest - rinse under running water. The most convenient way to do this is with a colander. When done, the ingredient should be dipped into a saucepan and filled with water. Put on gas and boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

Step 2

While the water is warming up, it is worth preparing a piece of bacon. In particular, it must be cleaned with a sharp knife from various contaminants and washed under running water. Cut into pieces about 10 * 10 cm (for better salting). You can make them larger, but consider the size of the pan. Pieces of bacon should easily fit into it.

Step 3

When the water boils, you need to put all the prepared ingredients in it: chopped garlic, chopped herbs, seasonings and spices. Gently lower the pieces of bacon. Boil everything for 10 minutes. You don't need it anymore, otherwise the bacon will turn out to be boiled, not salted. Turn off the gas. Put the pan together with the bacon aside for 12-24 hours to cool.

Step 4

After the time has elapsed, take out the pieces of bacon, put them on a newspaper and let them dry. If desired, grate with chopped garlic and sprinkle with red pepper. Place in the freezer for storage. Get it out and eat it, enjoying the amazing taste. Lard according to this recipe turns out to be not only soft, but also beautiful, and most importantly - delicious.
