  • - milk 350 ml;
  • - chicken egg 3 pcs.;
  • - granulated sugar 2 tbsp;
  • - corn starch 1 tablespoon;
  • - vanilla sugar 2 tablespoons;
  • - vanilla stick 1 pc.

Instructions

Step 1

If you decide to cook an Austrian apple strudel, soak the raisins in advance. Better to do this at night. Then pour 50 ml of drinking water into a convenient saucepan. Add cognac and sugar in the amount of 2 tablespoons to it. Put the saucepan on the fire and bring the mixture to a boil. Pour the hot composition into raisins.

Next, prepare the dough. Combine softened butter with sifted flour and salt. Pour in 100-120 ml of water, prepare the dough. Thoroughly kneaded dough for 5 minutes, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Then prepare the filling for the strudel. Wash the lemon, squeeze the juice from half into a separate container. Wash the apples, peel them, remove the core with the seeds. Cut the pieces into thin slices, pour over them with lemon juice, stir.

Fry the almond flakes in a dry skillet over medium heat. Combine the toasted almonds, granulated sugar and apple slices. Add cinnamon and raisins.

Prepare the oven. Heat it up to 200 degrees.

Take out the dough, roll it out so thin that you can see the structure of the work table or the towel on which you spread it. Melt the butter in the amount of 50 grams and grease the dough sheet. Spread the breadcrumbs on the workpiece. Next, spread the filling over the breadcrumbs. Roll the filled dough into a roll with a towel.

Place baking paper on a baking sheet. Next, distribute the roll on it, pinching the edges. Grease the semi-finished product with the remaining butter, place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake 25-30 minutes until strudel is done. After removing the Austrian apple dessert from the oven, cool it slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

For the sauce, prepare a saucepan, pour milk into it and lower the cut vanilla stick. Bring milk to a boil, cool slightly. Divide clean eggs into yolks and whites. Use whites in another recipe, beat the yolks together with sugar. Strain the milk and pour into the thick, beaten yolks. In this case, the yolk mass should be heated over low heat. Cook the sauce until thick, but do not cook.
