The Monastyrskaya Izba cake surprises with its unusual structure, which is based on cherry tubes and sour cream. There are different options for making this cake, but they are all just additions to the main recipe.

The main distinguishing feature of the Monastyrskaya Izba cake is the cherry. If you have preserves of canned cherries in your own juice or you prefer to freeze cherries, then it is ideal for making this cake. If you are not preserving cherries, then you can always buy frozen cherries in the store, and use fresh ones in the summer.

A whole cherry, pitted, is suitable for making a cake. For fresh cherries, pits should be removed a few hours before cooking, and then sprinkled with sugar and put in a cold place.
Step 3
How to prepare the dough You need to take a sufficiently deep container and pour all the ingredients for the dough into it. We mix everything thoroughly. It turns out a shortbread dough, which must be chopped with a knife into crumbs, and then with your hands connect the crumbs into a plastic dough. After that, it must be refrigerated for 1, 5 - 2 hours.

After the time has elapsed, the dough must be pulled out and laid out on the work surface, which should first be lightly sprinkled with flour. The dough must be divided into 3 parts of the same size.

Next, you need to get the cherry and squeeze out the excess juice. After that, a square with parameters of about 25x25 cm should be rolled out of one part of the dough. In this case, the dough should not be too thin.
Step 6
The resulting square of dough must be cut into 5 strips (the width of the strips will turn out to be 5 cm) and put cherries on these strips in a row. Next, the strips of dough need to be wrapped in tubes filled with cherries and so do with each strip of each part of the dough. Accordingly, you get 15 tubes.

The tubes should be baked at 180-200 degrees, about 20 minutes.

How to prepare the cream All the ingredients for the cream must be mixed in a deep bowl and beat with a mixer at high speed. As a result, the cream will thicken and increase in volume.

Next, the finished tubes must be removed from the oven, cooled and sorted by size. Now comes the main point of preparation - stacking the tubes.

Place the 5 largest straws on the bottom of the tray and grease liberally with the prepared cream. After that, place 4 other tubes on top of the previous ones, in the recesses between them and also generously grease them with cream.

Then put 3 tubes in the center of the previous four and also grease with cream. Place 2 more tubes on top of the previous layer and grease with cream.

Place the remaining tube on the very top of the "hut". The cream that remains should be greased on the top of the side of the cake.
