Honey Pie is an unusual and simple dessert that tastes especially good with freshly brewed tea. Delicate biscuit with a subtle honey flavor can be supplemented with candied fruits, chopped dried fruits or nuts.
Honey cake with black currant
You will need:
- 160 g of wheat flour;
- 2 tbsp. spoons of honey;
- 125 g butter;
- 4 egg yolks;
- 100 g of icing sugar;
- 150 g frozen black currant;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
- 0.25 teaspoons of baking soda.
Place softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks and honey in a deep bowl. Beat everything with a mixer until smooth. Sift flour, mix with baking soda and add portions to the dough. Line a baking sheet or dish with baking paper and place the dough on it, leveling it with a wide knife. Spread frozen black currants on top and place the product in an oven preheated to 170 ° C. Bake until golden brown. Remove the hot cake together with the paper from the mold and cool on the board. Serve lightly with powdered sugar.
Pie with honey and candied fruits
You will need:
- 250 g of honey;
- 220 g of butter;
- 100 g of sugar;
- 3 eggs;
- 300 g of wheat flour;
- 2 tsp baking powder;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of candied lemon;
- 2 tbsp. spoons of honey for impregnation.
Place honey, butter and sugar in a bowl. Heat the mixture in a water bath until the crystals are completely dissolved. Stir the mixture well and remove the bowl from heat. Let it cool down. Beat the eggs and add them to the buttery honey mixture. Combine the sifted flour with baking powder and add portions to the dough. Whisk until smooth and add finely chopped candied lemon.
Cover the mold with baking paper, pour the dough on it and place in the oven preheated to 160 ° C. Bake the cake for about 1 hour. During this time, the product should rise and acquire a beautiful golden hue. Remove the cake from the baking pan and immediately brush the surface with liquid honey. Let it soak and cut the baked goods into pieces. Serve the honey pie warm.
Raisin honey pie
You will need:
- 60 g of honey;
- 2 eggs;
- 0.75 glasses of sugar;
- 100 g sour cream;
- 100 g of wheat flour;
- 0.5 cups seedless raisins;
- 0.5 cups of walnuts;
- 1 incomplete spoonful of baking soda.
Beat eggs with sugar, add honey, sour cream and flour, sifted and mixed with soda. Use a mixer to make the dough homogeneous. Crush the nuts into large crumbs. Rinse and dry the raisins. Add nuts and raisins to the dough, mix everything thoroughly.
Pour the dough into a mold lined with baking paper. Place the dish in an oven preheated to 220 ° C. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Put the finished pie on a board, cool and cut into pieces.
