Pumpkin is a very juicy and tender vegetable that goes well with hard cheese and chicken. Therefore, we bring to your attention a very tasty, tender and velvety casserole, which combines only the three above-described ingredients, seasoned with spices, sour cream and mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of Dutch cheese;
  • 1 small pack of sour cream;
  • 0.7 kg of peeled pumpkin;
  • 0.7 kg chicken fillet;
  • mayonnaise;
  • butter;
  • salt and black pepper;
  • 30 g bread crumbs.

Preparation:

  1. Rinse the meat, removing excess fat and streaks, dry and cut into medium cubes.
  2. Put all the cubes of meat in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, mix.
  3. Peel and seed the pumpkin, rub on a coarse grater. Grate hard cheese in the same way as pumpkin.
  4. Combine the grated ingredients in a bowl, season with salt, sour cream and mayonnaise, mix thoroughly until smooth, divide into two equal parts.
  5. Grease a baking dish (approx. 20x15 cm) with a piece of butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  6. Put one part of the pumpkin mass into a mold and smooth it out. Cover the pumpkin mass with pieces of meat, and cover the layer of meat with the rest of the pumpkin mass.
  7. Sprinkle all this with grated breadcrumbs and, if desired, the remaining hard cheese, send for 1 hour to the oven preheated to 200 degrees, and bake until tender. Roasting times may vary slightly as each oven is unique. You must always take into account the individual characteristics of the technique.
  8. The finished casserole should be baked on the inside and covered with a brown cheese crust on the outside. So, remove the baked chicken, pumpkin and hard cheese casserole from the oven, cool, cut into portions and serve with a salad of fresh vegetables.
