Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (0.75 l) red sweet wine;
  • 150 ml brandy (rum, cognac, whiskey is possible);
  • 50 g brown sugar;
  • 700 ml of "Sprite" sparkling water;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 2 oranges.

Preparation:

  1. Wash oranges (medium size) in running water, cut into thin circles, and then cut each circle in half. Do not remove the peel from the fruit.
  2. Wash the lemon well and cut into slices, leave the skin as well. If there are seeds in citrus fruits, then they should be thrown out.
  3. Take a small saucepan and carefully lay the previously sliced lemon and oranges in layers.
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the surface. If suddenly this is not found, then you can use ordinary white. Let stand for 30 minutes, during which time the sugar will dissolve and the fruit will give juice.
  5. Next, pour 150 ml of a strong drink into a saucepan, it can be any strong alcohol - brandy, rum, whiskey or cognac.
  6. Keep in a container for up to 8-10 hours (in the refrigerator).
  7. After a lapse of time, remove the pan from the refrigerator, fill its contents with a bottle of red sweet wine.
  8. Put back in the refrigerator for only one hour.
  9. Take out a pot of wine and fruit, pour a sweet soda (in this case, Sprite) into it, stir and let stand a little longer.
  10. The drink is ready, pour it into a jug (you can do without fruit, they have already given their juices), from which you will pour it into glasses.
  11. Separately, you can add a few ice cubes to the glass and garnish with an orange slice, a mint leaf.

Red "Sangria" goes well with meat dishes. The taste of the beverage will vary depending on the type of food used for preparation. In summer it is better to drink it cold, and in winter it can be warmed up.
