Recently, more and more often people are abandoning thermally processed food in favor of raw foods, because vitamins are preserved in their original form. But isn't this way of eating harmful?

Raw food diet - eating only raw foods that are not subject to heat treatment. There are four types: a vegetarian raw food diet, fruitarianism, an omnivorous raw food diet. The fourth type combines all types of raw food, but also implies the consumption of special raw bread, which is baked from whole grains. Also, yeast is not added to such bread.

A raw food diet is a whole food system that has its own special rules for choosing food and building a diet in general. All plant products should be eaten in their original form (with peel and seeds). Also, the egg is not crushed into parts such as yolk and white, but eaten at once. Whole milk is preferred over cream or sour cream. Raw food eaters eat thoroughly only once a day, and the rest two times eat little by little. In this case, the food must be chewed very carefully and slowly so that there are no problems with the stomach.

A raw food diet has long been recognized as a wholesome food system as it helps improve digestion. In addition, this way of eating food restores the water balance in the body. Of course, the health benefits cannot but be reflected in the appearance. Raw foodists improve their complexion, teeth and gums become healthier, and bad breath disappears.

In fact, a raw food diet does not have any measurable health risks. But it is important to remember that everything is good in moderation. Scientists have agreed that it is enough to consume 60% of raw food and 40% of the usual cooked. The problem is that every raw foodist has a favorite food that is over-consumed. For example, these can be legumes that give you a tangible feeling of fullness. But excessive consumption of beans leads to the accumulation of toxins in the body, which are very difficult for our body to get rid of.

To switch to a raw food diet or not is a personal choice of everyone. Most importantly, do not forget that the transition should be very smooth and only after consulting a doctor.
