Delicious honey cakes prepared according to this recipe are prepared literally from nothing. Sesame seeds are added for a pleasant aroma, but if they are not at hand, then you can do without them.

It is necessary

  • • 1 tablespoon of liquid honey;
  • • 1 chicken egg;
  • • 1 pinch of fine salt;
  • • 65 ml of boiled warm water;
  • • 1, 75 glasses of flour (wheat);
  • • 5 baking powder for dough;
  • • 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds.

Instructions

Step 1

Put a spoonful of any liquid honey in a deep container (for example, a bowl). In order for it to be more fluid and in the future it would be easier to knead the dough, it should be slightly heated. Add fine salt and warm boiled water to honey. Mix the ingredients in the container.

Step 2

Next, beat in one egg and mix well again so that the contents of the bowl become homogeneous. Combine the honey mixture and half of the specified amount of flour, stir thoroughly with a mixer, at first the dough will be liquid.

Step 3

Add sesame seeds. You can increase the amount of sesame seeds as desired if you love them and want them to taste more in cakes. Stir everything again.

Step 4

Then add the rest of the flour, knead the dough, roll into a ball. Sprinkle flour on the table and put the dough on it. Knead the dough with your hands for a few minutes. To prevent it from sticking to your hands, you can lubricate your hands with a little oil. As a result, the consistency of the dough should be the same as, for example, on dumplings.

Step 5

Pinch off small pieces from the dough and make small cakes half a centimeter thick and 7-9 centimeters in diameter (about 20 cakes will be obtained from the whole dough).

Step 6

Cakes are prepared in a frying pan hot with oil, fried on both sides very quickly. Since there is no additional sugar in the recipe (except for honey), they are not very sweet, therefore it is recommended to eat them with jam or syrup.
