In the store you can buy delicacies for every taste. But homemade sweets, prepared with love, with a piece of soul embedded in each candy will be out of competition at all times. Some homemade desserts do not require any special skills or excessive time investment. The word "halva" (حلاوة) in translation from Arabic means "sweetness". Halva in Adjarian is so easy to prepare that even a child can handle it.
It is necessary
- - corn flour - 100 g;
- - sugar - 80 g;
- - anise, cardamom, cinnamon, rose essential oil - to taste;
- - water - 75 ml.
Instructions
Step 1
Divide the sugar into two equal parts: one part will be needed to prepare the aromatic sugar syrup. Pour cold water into a ladle, add one part - 40 grams - of granulated sugar, put ground spices here, drop rose essential oil and boil syrup from this mixture.
Step 2
Combine flour and butter in a cauldron or thick-walled saucepan. Fry with constant stirring for 10 minutes. Put the rest of the granulated sugar into this mixture, mix and pour in the prepared sugar syrup gently, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Cook the sweet mass over medium or low heat until the mass is thick enough. It should become plastic and when it has cooled down enough to be picked up, a ball could be rolled out of it. Remove the cauldron from heat and cool slightly.
Step 4
Place on a wide, flat dish and divide into 20 slices. Use small candy, chocolate or ice molds to shape the shapes. Or roll up small balls.
Cool halva completely before serving.
