Mayonnaise sauce has long established itself among food products as a necessary ingredient and a welcome element in the preparation of salads. Industrial mayonnaise has a lot of flavor variations. But mayonnaise made with your own hands differs from store-bought mayonnaise in its specific taste. How to make homemade mayonnaise?
It is necessary
- Ingredients for 200 grams of mayonnaise:
- - 2 raw chicken eggs
- - 2 hard-boiled chicken eggs
- - 150 ml of sunflower oil (can be replaced with corn or olive oil)
- - 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- - 5 teaspoons of lemon juice (can be substituted with table vinegar)
- - 0.5 teaspoon sugar
- - 0.5 teaspoon salt
- Crockery and household appliances:
- - mixer, blender or whisk for whipping
- - container for mixing ingredients
- - clean jar with a lid
Instructions
Step 1
Separate the raw yolks from the protein and pour into a container for making mayonnaise.
Separate the boiled egg yolks and add to the bowl with the raw yolks.
Add mustard, sugar and salt.
Mix everything well, grind or beat with a mixer into a homogeneous mass.
Step 2
Without stopping whipping the mixture, little by little, with a teaspoon, pour in vegetable oil. When the mayonnaise mass becomes homogeneous, pour in the lemon juice (or vinegar). Mix everything again and beat with a mixer.
If the mayonnaise turns out to be too dense and thick, you can add a little boiled water or milk - and beat again until a homogeneous semi-liquid homogeneous mass.
Step 3
Transfer the mixture to a jar or mayonnaise bowl and refrigerate. The mayonnaise is ready. It can be spread on bread, seasoned with various salads and added to soup or borscht to improve taste.
