Italian cuisine boasts an endless number of easy-to-prepare yet highly original dishes. Meat lovers can bake meat with herbs in a baguette to surprise guests with an unusual dish.
It is necessary
- - 1 baguette;
- - a clove of garlic;
- - on a sprig of rosemary and sage;
- - 2 sprigs of parsley;
- - a teaspoon of coarse sea salt;
- - lemon zest;
- - 3 tablespoons of olive oil;
- - a piece of pork, in a shape suitable for placing it entirely inside the loaf;
- - black pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190C. Mix the herbs, garlic, salt and lemon zest on a cutting board and chop with a knife (you can do this in a mortar).
Step 2
Cut the baguette in half, remove a little pulp to make a hollow for the meat. Heat a tablespoon of oil, fry the meat in a pan on all sides until golden and crispy so that it remains juicy inside during baking. Season with black pepper.
Step 3
Grease the baguette with the remaining two tablespoons of olive oil (one for each half). Distribute the fragrant mixture evenly over the two halves of the baguette.
Step 4
Put the meat in a baguette, wrap it tightly with foil and put it in the oven for 1 hour.
Step 5
Let the roll cool for 10 minutes, remove the foil, cut the baguette into pieces and serve.
