I love to cook in the oven. Therefore, baked goods are delicious and are eaten in 5 minutes. I have a huge number of recipes in my collection. Today I will share one of them with you. This is Caramel cake.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - 1-1.5 cups flour,
  • - 3 tbsp. l. Sahara,
  • - a pinch of salt,
  • - 100 g butter,
  • - 1 yolk.
  • For filling:
  • - 1 cup of sugar,
  • - 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • - 3/4 cup cream
  • - 1 tbsp. l. butter,
  • - 1 egg,
  • - a pinch of vanillin,
  • - 1, 5 cups of walnut kernels,
  • - 1 bar of creamy chocolate.

Instructions

Step 1

Chop butter with flour into crumbs. Add sugar, salt and yolk, beaten with 2 tbsp. l. water. Knead the dough so that it comes off your hands. Put it in the refrigerator for about an hour.

Step 2

Roll out the dough into a layer and place in a greased baking dish, molding the sides. Pierce in several places with a fork. Line the dough with foil or parchment paper and fill with dry peas (grits) to prevent the base from puffing up during baking.

Step 3

Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking until golden brown (about 10 minutes).

Step 4

Mix sugar with lemon juice, put it in a frying pan and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar caramelizes. Add cream and butter gradually. Cool and add the egg, beaten with vanilla. Stir well until smooth.

Step 5

Lightly fry the walnut kernels and spread in an even layer on the crust. Pour caramel over and bake until the filling begins to bubble. Melt the chocolate and decorate the finished cake from the pastry bag with it.
