Spicy German cookies "Speculatius" are a traditional German dish on the festive table. The most common form of baking is hearts, but you can experiment with other options for a change. For example, crispy houses or crescents will look original.
It is necessary
- - 2 tsp baking powder for dough
- - 500 g wheat flour
- - 1 tbsp. Sahara
- - 2 eggs
- - 100 g of any nuts
- - cardamom
- - cinnamon
- - any flavoring
- - butter
- - ground cloves
Instructions
Step 1
Combine flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar and spices in one container. Knead a thick and firm dough, adding enough milk or water to the ingredients. While preparing it, brush your hands with a small amount of sunflower, vegetable or butter so that the mixture does not stick to your palms.
Step 2
Roll out the dough into a thin layer and use the star-shaped molds to cut the shaped cookies. Sprockets can be cut with an ordinary knife in the absence of special molds.
Step 3
Grind the nuts in a blender. Put the cookie cutters on a baking sheet or in a baking dish, having previously greased the surface with a small amount of butter. Sprinkle each cookie with ground nuts.
Step 4
Cookies should be baked in the oven for 10-15 minutes, depending on the resulting thickness of the blanks. You can sprinkle the baked goods with powdered sugar before serving. Traditional German biscuits are usually made in the form of stars, animal figurines or houses.
