Recently, vegetarian dishes have been gaining more and more popularity. If you want to surprise your guests with a delicious and healthy dish, prepare a vegetarian pilaf for them. Believe me, they will be satisfied!
You will need:
1. Round grain rice - 700 g;
2. large carrots - 5-6 pcs.;
3. ghee (ghee) - 5-6 tbsp. l.;
4. whole cumin - 1 tsp;
5.barberry - 2 tsp;
6.mustard - 2 tsp;
7.turmeric - 0.5-1 tsp;
8.water - 1, 2 l;
9.salt - 3 tsp
Rinse the rice and pour boiling water until it swells. Cut the carrots into strips or three of them on a coarse grater. In a saucepan or cauldron, melt the butter and fry the spices in it. When the spices begin to emit a pleasant aroma, add carrots to them. Mix all this thoroughly and fry for about 10 - 15 minutes.
Then add rice with water on top, without stirring. Salt. As soon as the water boils, we reduce the heat to medium and cover our pilaf with a lid. Cook until the water is completely evaporated. Stir thoroughly and gently when serving. Our pilaf is ready.
